Adam Fredric Duritz is an American Musician, songwriter, record producer & Film producer.

He was born on August 1, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.

Duritz graduated from Head-Royce School in Oakland, California. Duritz then enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, but left college two credits short of a degree.

Duritz formed Counting Crows with producer and guitarist David Bryson in San Francisco in 1991.

As a film producer, he executive produced The Locusts and produced the comedy film, Freeloaders.
