A traveler on board the flight who had to turn around told NBC 4 that they heard a noisy banging clamor in the plane. The pilot of the plane informed them that they hit a herd of geese soon after departure. Every one of the travelers deplaned after the plane landed securely and they were taken to one more flight that took off later in the first part of the day.
The plane was reviewed by firemen and air terminal security and they put out the motor fire. An examination has been sent off into the episode by the Government Flight Organization. The John Glenn Global Air terminal said it stays “open and functional.”
