Anitta is the stage name of Larissa de Macedo Machado, a Brazilian singer, composer, actor, dancer, and entrepreneur born on March 30, 1993.

After releasing the song “Show das Poderosas,” which peaked at number one on the Brasil Top 100 Airplay list, Anitta gained widespread recognition in 2013. Almost 130 million people have seen the song’s music video on YouTube.

She released her debut studio album in July of the same year, and the ABPD certified it as platinum and triple gold.

The album, which was also published in Portugal, reached the milestone of 170,000 copies sold. Her second studio album, Ritmo Perfeito (2014), sold 45,000 copies in the first month of availability.

She released Meu Lugar, her debut live CD, on the same day. She was the youngest Brazilian artist to perform at the Latin Grammy Awards when she did so in November 2014.
