Ayanna Davis Snapchat Video: Florida Substitute Teacher Update, Is She In Jail?

Ayanna Davis got arrested after her Snapchat video with a minor emerged. The Florida Substitute teacher appeared in court on December 11.

Davis was a substitute teacher at Lakeland High School who had unprotected intercourse with a school student four times. They were involved twice at their respective places.

Ayanna got arrested last Friday and admitted to sleeping with her student four times. Authorities began an investigation on December 3 after another student informed the school about a Snapchat video.

Ayanna Davis slept with one of her students, and the video got posted on Snapchat. The video got circulated among school students including, the football team. 

After a student contacted the school about the video, Davis was taken into custody on December 3. She got arrested and charged with sexual battery after the incident, reports The New York Post.

Ayanna’s age is 20 years. The Florida substitute teacher does not seem to be active on social media.

She got hired by Kelly Education, a staffing company. They confirmed that Davis is banned till there is a result in the investigation. She is unable to accept assignments as her account has been deactivated until the conclusion of the criminal investigation.

The Polk Country Sheriff’s Office was also involved in the case. Her confession matched with the information from the victim. As per Sheriff Grady Judd, Ayanna was in a position of influence and took advantage of it for her satisfaction.

Is Ayanna Davis In Jail? Florida Substitute Teacher Update

Ayanna Davis is facing two sexual battery charges from Lakewood police and two charged by custodians and offenses against students by an authority figure from county warrants, as per WFLA.

The recent update on the case is that she got ordered to pay $60,000 in bond after her court appearance on December 11. Her next trial date got scheduled for January 10, 2022, which will determine her jail time.

The school superintendent commented on the incident and revealed that it is disgraceful and a breach of trust teachers build with their students. Davis will not be able to work in any Polk County Public Schools.

The school student in question was 17 years old.

The deputies are on the lookout for the video as the student is still a juvenile and Ayanna is an adult. They know the video is still out there somewhere, and it is wrong on all levels.
