Barry Parents

Barry and Eric, were born to their parents in Summerhill, Dublin, Ireland. The siblings spent seven years in foster care in thirteen different foster homes.

The actor had something of a tumultuous childhood. From an early age, Keoghan was exposed to the harsh truth of his city’s drug issue. Sadly, his mother passed away due to a drug overdose when he was only twelve years old.

He and Eric spent time in foster care before their mom’s demise. The actor explained his mother could not look after them when she was ill. Barry and Eric stuck together, despite going through a challenging phase in their life.

He added, “But once you get the seal of approval from Eric, you just know.” After answering a casting notice for the Irish drama Between the Canals, Barry started his acting journey. The minor role paved his way to study at the local workshop, The Factory.

Once sneaking into films and starring in them, Barry has enjoyed rapid growth. The thirty-year-old actor has appeared in significant projects such as Eternals, American Animals, Rebellion, Love/Hate, The Break, Eternals, and Batman.
