Benjamin “Ben” Winspear is an Australian film and television actor known for his appearances in The Babadook (2014), My Place (2009), and A Place to Call Home (2013).
Career
Winspear made his acting debut in 2008, playing the role of “Bart” in director Tim Slade’s short film Every Other Weekend.
In 2012, he appeared in the series Underbelly where he played “Detective Sgt. Tim Browne,” a second-in-command officer in the Tuno Attack force.
In 2014, he appeared as a guest on the second season of the TV series A Place to Call Home, in which he played “René Nordmann,” the husband of “Sarah Adams” (played by his wife Marta Dusseldorp), through 2015.
Most recently, in 2020, Winspear was seen portraying the character of “Sam” in a July episode of TV series Rosehaven. He has also finished filming for director Lucien Simon’s Breeding in Captivity, starring Kym Jackson and Christopher Brown; the film is in post-production with the release date yet to be known.
Personal life
Ben is married to actress Marta Dusseldorp; the couple has two daughters, Grace and Maggie Winspear.
