Fred McGriff Wife Veronica McGriff And Inside His Family

Fred McGriff and his wife Veronica McGriff will attend the Hall of Fame ceremony. Fred was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame through the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee procedure. And it was revealed on December 4, 2022.

McGriff is a five-time All-Star and 1995 World Champion. In 1995, he won the World Series while playing first base for the Atlanta Braves. He finished his playing career tied with fellow Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig and seven home runs short of the 500-home run mark.

Presently, 59 years old, Fred serves as a Special Assistant to Baseball Operations in the Atlanta Braves executive office. Similarly, in 1991, McGriff made an off-field appearance in advertisements for Tom Emanski’s Baseball Fundamentals instructional films. The advertisements are the longest-running sports infomercial on television because they aired on ESPN for more than ten years.

Likewise, he started his playing career at Jefferson High School. Not to mention, Chris Berman, a sports broadcaster, gave Fred the nickname “Crime Canine.”

Fred McGriff and his wife Veronica McGriff have been together for over two decades.

McGriff, who was just elected to a hall of fame, is widely regarded as the best player in the United States. 

His skill on the field is undeniable, but his reputation as a family man off the field is even more clear. Since getting married, he and his wife have established a happy life together. 

Additionally, they are the proud parents of two children. The pair are currently enjoying a happy life together with their kids. Fred enjoys spending time with his family in his free time.

Fred and Veronica McGriff Lived In Avila Estate

Previously, Fred and Veronica lived in Tampa, Florida estate. According to bizjournals, they sold their mansion in 2019 for slightly over $1 million less than the asking price. Fred put his estate up for sale in 2018 for $3.945 million.

In 1992, Veronica McGriff and Fred paid $555,000 for the property. Six teams made up McGriff’s Major League Baseball(MLB) career, which concluded in 2004 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

The 11,768-square-foot home at 16314 Millan de Avila is situated on two lots totaling roughly 1.8 acres. The house has been put up for sale by a Coldwell Banker Global Luxury real estate team led by Jennifer Zales and Michelle Fitz-Randolph.

Fred McGriff Has Two Kids

Fred McGriff and his wife Veronica are the proud parents of two children. The name of their children is Erick and Ericka. 

Their son Erick is an American football wide receiver. He began playing when he was a senior in high school. According to kuathletics, he earned first-team all-county recognition as a wide receiver and second-team recognition as a defensive back during his time in high school.

Additionally, he had 44 receptions for 732 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. Erick redshirted his first season at KU in 2009. Additionally, he received the KU Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week award against UTEP.

Similarly, he played wide receiver as a reserve in 2010. The fourth game versus New Mexico State was his first collegiate action. He started at Iowa State in the KU four-wide receiver formation and finished the season with six receptions for 61 yards. 

His sister Ericka is majoring in pre-sports management.
