Handyman Admits Killing N.Y. Mom, Stuffing Her in Duffel Bag After ‘Heated’ Argument over Their Affair

A New York man accused of killing his former darling pleaded liable to first-degree manslaughter after authorities say he stabbed the woman in excess of multiple times before placing her remains in a gym bag and dumping it in a park. According to Sovereigns District Attorney Melinda Katz, an appointed authority agreed to condemn 44-year-old David Bonola to 25 years behind bars for the brutal slaying of 51-year-old mother of two, Orsolya Gaal, in exchange for his liable plea.

“This heinous killing devastated a whole family, left two young men without a mother, and sickened the surrounding local area,” Katz said in a statement Wednesday.

“In pleading liable, the defendant has accepted responsibility and is being considered completely accountable for his criminal actions.

We express our sincerest condolences to the casualty’s family and trust that today’s plea will allow them to begin to heal,” she said. Bonola and Gaal began “an intimate affair” two years ago when he was employed as a handyman to work at the Sovereigns, N.Y., home she shared with her husband and two sons, NYPD Head of Investigators James Essig told correspondents in April, Individuals recently detailed.  The pair maintained an on-again-off-again relationship as he intermittently took care of business around the house.

During the April question and answer session, Essig said the two engaged in a “heated” argument at her home, regarding their relationship.

Bonola continued to brandish a blade, slash Gaal’s throat, and stab her upwards of multiple times before dismembering her body and stuffing it into one of her son’s hockey bags, Essig said.

He was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera wheeling the duffle in the area on the morning of her homicide.

He then unloaded the bag in Forest Slopes Park, however not without leaving a trail of blood from the crime location to the casualty’s home, Individuals recently detailed.

Police recuperated the deadly weapon inside the casualty’s home and Bonola’s jacket inside the park, according to reports.

At the hour of the investigation, Bonola agreed to an interview with police, during which he “made incriminating statements” about Gaal’s homicide, Essig told journalists in April.

Following his 25-year prison sentence, authorities said Bonola will go through five-years post release supervision. His sentencing is booked for Nov. 16.
