Jonathan Wright Death – On Friday, August 11th, 2023, Dr Jonathan P. Wright of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, a well-respected emergency medicine physician in Coeur DAlene , Idaho, died in a tragic accident.

He was a longtime Kootenai Health-Coeur D’Alene affiliate, sadly and unexpectedly passed away, leaving family, friends, and other loved ones in total devastation and sadness.

He is survived by his angel wife Sara, and their four young children, who have had to bid farewell to their kind and compassionate dad — their hero — a man who had helped so many others on the worst day of their lives.

Obituary:

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 17th at 10 am at the Hanley building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2293 W Hanley Ave, Coeur d’Alene, ID. All are invited to gather and celebrate Jonathan’s life.

About Jonathan Wright:

Jonathan was a devoted husband, father of four, faithful friend, and emergency doctor.

Jon’s loving friends immediately and expertly attended him at the accident scene, but his brain activity never recovered. However, because of their heroic efforts, his family could extend the selflessness Jonathan personified each day and choose total organ donation as his last parting gift.

On Monday, Jonathan was commemorated in an Honor Walk as he entered the OR for the last time at Kootenai Health Center.

We are asking for help on the Wright family’s behalf to help with the unexpected funeral expenses, including transporting his body to Utah for burial, and to help carry Sara into this new chapter with her children, ages 10 to 2. Jonathan was a light to anyone who got the privilege to know him — ultimately, the most meaningful way to honour him is to treat others with kindness and love.

Above all, we are grateful for the Lord, our strength in these trying times and who will help us all as we look to Him in every thought. Doctrine and Covenants 6: 36.
