According to officials and media, two Long Island healthcare staff were caught for allegedly forgiving COVID-19 immunization cards in a $1.5 million cash injection scheme.
Julie Devuono and Marissa Urraro, two health workers, have been identified.
The couple allegedly sold fraudulent immunization cards for $220 for adults and $85 for children, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney.

Julie Devuono, 49, is the owner of Wild Child Pediatric Healthcare in Amityville. Marissa Urraro, 44, is a licensed practical nurse.
The Suffolk County Police Department said Friday that they are accused of $220 in bogus cards for adults and $85 for youngsters.
The swindle was allegedly perpetrated by the women from November 2021 to this month. According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, DeVuono owns and operates Wild Child Pediatric Healthcare in Amityville.
The duo would then add the bogus information into the New York State Immunization Information System (“NYSIIS”) to falsely list the individual as vaccinated.
At their arraignment on Friday, prosecutors also alleged that the pair forged vaccine cards for undercover NYPD officers, NBC 4 reported.
Following that, investigators uncovered $900,000 in cash at DeVuono’s home.
Financial records at DeVouno’s home allegedly showed the duo made off with more than $1.5 million in profits.

According to the district attorney, Julie Devunono and Marissa Urraro was arrested in Suffolk County on Friday. DeVuono’s Wild Child Pediatric Healthcare in Amityville was owned and operated by DeVuono.
Forgery was charged against both Devuono and Marissa Urraro. A count of offering fraud was also filed against DeVuono.
