Keith Yandle Parents: Meet Patti and Bud Yandle
Keith Michael Yandle an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. Yandle was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 9, 1986 to Patti and Bud Yandle.
His parents both worked long hours for FedEx to support their three children: his father Bud drove trucks for the company, and his mother Patti, who had rheumatoid arthritis for most of her adult life, worked as a dispatcher.
Yandle’s father also coached local youth hockey in Milton, Massachusetts, where several members of the Yandle family still live.
He was a member of the Arizona Coyotes, the New York Rangers, the Florida Panthers, and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Yandle was selected 105th overall by the Coyotes in the fourth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
For his toughness and team-first leadership, he has earned the respect and admiration of players across the league.
With 989 consecutive games played, he holds the all-time NHL ironman record; during the 2020-21 season, he became the third player in NHL history to do so.
Yandle broke Doug Jarvis’ record for the longest streak in NHL history on January 25, 2022, when he played his 965th consecutive game.
