Lee Kun-hee’s Net Worth Before His Death

Lee Kun-hee died on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at age 78.

Lee Kun-hee, who was the richest South Korean is credited for building Samsung Electronics into a global powerhouse in smartphones, semiconductors and televisions.

He died after spending over six years in hospital following a heart attack, the company said.

Lee built the Samsung Group into South Korea’s biggest conglomerate and became the country’s richest person but he was also convicted of bribery and tax evasion, and he and the empire he built were vilified for wielding huge economic clout, and for opaque governance and dubious transfers of the family wealth, according to Channel News Asia.

The net worth of Lee Kun-hee was estimated at $20 billion at the time of his death, according to Forbes.
