Manuel made his first major American film with Bless Me, Ultima, as Uncle Pedro. The drama film is directed by Carl Franklin and starring Luke Ganalon and Míriam Colón. The film is an adaptation of the 1972 novel of the same name by Rudolfo Anaya.
