Minnesota man accidentally kills nephew, 12, on squirrel hunting trip

A 12-year-old Minnesota kid was lethally shot in the head by his uncle during a hunting trip disaster, cops said.

Jeremy Her of St. Paul was hit by gunfire from his 47-year-old uncle Monday morning while they were chasing after squirrels in Moose Lake Municipality, around 100 miles from their home, the Cass Area Sheriff’s Office said.

The kid was shot right behind his left ear and was struck in his spinal line, his sister Salina Her wrote in a GoFundMe. Jeremy was articulated mind dead upon landing in the clinic and was placed in a coma, family said. His folks chose to reassess around 13 hours after he was shot, Salina said.

“He is a blissful kid who cherished his loved ones and will successfully fulfill them. He’s never reluctant to attempt new things and never says no except if he’s messing around with his companions. He appreciates fixing bicycles and joining my father in fixing vehicles in the carport,” Salina composed.

“We continued to trust that perhaps this was a fantasy and we’ll awaken from everything except his presence is missed, we miss his voice and his chuckling.”

The Her family is raising assets for Jeremy’s burial service. Police said the shooting was reasonable a mishap, yet are as yet examining.
