In the Sprint Unlimited Daytona last 2015, Menard won the pole for the race by a draw. He was the leader of the first seven laps but finished 21st because of a big wreck. Afterward, Menard finished in the top 5 of Talladega’s Auto Club. For the first time in his career, he made the chase. It was because Paul had just one DNF. He eventually grabbed the final spot with 17 points higher than Aric Almirola.

In the Sprint Unlimited last 2016, Menard finished with a career-best of third place. During the start of 2017, he was able to survive wrecks in the Daytona 500. He brought home a fifth-place finish after some cars ran out of gas. He finished 25th the following week in Atlanta.
