He is an extremely active person, and has a passion for surfing, and has surfed all over the world. He is an extreme mountain biker and has dabbled in martial arts like kickboxing and Wing Tsun. He worked to make money from a very young age, and delivered milk bottles on trolleys in the snow, to save for his first set of skis, at the age of 12. For filming the movie "Last of the Living", he studied martial arts - Goju Ryu Karate - for several weeks, particularly the high kicks required to be performed by his character 'Johnny.' He also studied Laban techniques and principles, and visited and stayed with students at the internationally recognized theatre school ' Teatro Dimitri' in Switzerland. He also trained and performed in mime, and developed a passion for the art after seeing Marcel Marceau and Dimitri perform live. As an aside, he also has a passion for drumming and has recorded several, unreleased, songs. His first pet was a black cat.
