Evansville shooting guard Thomasi Gilgeous-Alexander has registered with the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to 247Sports. He was on the team for just two seasons.

Gilgeous-Alexander played in just eight games for the Aces 2021 season but did not start any of them.

Before this season, he had only appeared in three games for Evansville in 2019–20. In games at Jacksonville State, where he played for six minutes and scored six points on two three-pointers while also grabbing two rebounds, Thomasi played one minute against George Washington and around one minute against Morgan State.

Thomasi, a 2019 recruit out of Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, had offers from South Carolina, Fresno State, and New Mexico before deciding to play for Evansville, per his 247Sports recruiting profile. However, he did not have a star rating on his recruiting page.

In the latter part of April 2019, Gilgeous-Alexander declared his devotion to Evansville. Being a Toronto Native, Alexander-Walker participated in athletics for Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, St. Louis Christian Academy, and Vaughan Secondary School. He played on the same squad at Hamilton Heights as his cousin Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

At the 2016 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship, Nickeil represented Canada and helped the team win the silver medal. With 17.4 points per game, he was the tournament’s top scorer overall. Additionally, he participated in the Olympic qualifiers for Canada’s senior national team in 2021.

Alexander-Walker signed a three-year contract to compete for the Canadian senior men’s national team on May 24, 2022.
